Join an early-stage robotics team developing autonomous robots for real-world building operations. Own mechanical hardware from concept and prototyping through manufacturing and field testing.
Responsibilities
- Design robot structures, mechanisms, and enclosures in SolidWorks
- Build and iterate prototypes in-house
- Design sheet-metal and molded components for manufacturing
- Work directly with manufacturing vendors
- Integrate mechanical hardware with electronics and software
- Test and improve robots in field environments
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience designing mechanisms that have been manufactured
- Strong SolidWorks skills
- Hands-on workshop and fabrication skills
- Practical design-for-manufacturing experience
- Comfort working with motors and actuators
Nice to have
- Robotics experience
- Volume manufacturing experience
