Junior Mechanical Engineer, Development
Join a development and engineering team working on drones and autonomous systems. Own mechanical development from initial design and prototyping through laboratory integration, field testing, and production transfer.
Responsibilities
- Design mechanical assemblies, drone frames, mechanisms, and payload enclosures in SolidWorks.
- Build and assemble prototypes using 3D printing, machining, and composite materials.
- Analyze, assemble, and integrate hardware components, sensors, and avionics into mechanical structures.
- Support flight trials and field durability testing, which account for approximately 20–30% of the role.
- Investigate mechanical failures and implement engineering changes.
- Support handover of designs and products to manufacturing.
Requirements
- BSc in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering.
- Strong SolidWorks skills, including part and assembly design and engineering drawings.
- Hands-on experience with tools, mechanical assembly, prototyping, and 3D printing.
- Willingness to participate actively in field trials and system testing.
- High-level Hebrew and English for reading standards, technical documentation, and supplier communication.
Nice to have
- Practical engineering project experience, such as robotics teams, Formula Student, or an applied capstone project.
- Interest or experience in flying drones or FPV.
