Join an R&D team developing advanced electro-optical systems for defense applications. Own hands-on mechanical development from concept through production and field support.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical development, from concept and design through production and field support.
- Design, prototype, test, and validate mechanical systems and components, including cameras, lenses, enclosures, and electromechanical assemblies.
- Optimize designs for performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Create and maintain technical drawings, specifications, and test procedures.
- Own multiple projects and solve complex mechanical challenges.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, production-ready solutions.
- Design mechanisms and enclosures for harsh environments and support vibration and shock testing and qualification.
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 5 years of mechanical design experience.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks and PDM.
- Hands-on experience with CNC, sheet metal, molding, and 3D printing processes.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical components and material selection.
- Experience designing mechanisms and enclosures for challenging environments.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive projects from concept to completion.
Nice to have
- Experience with vibration and shock testing and qualification.
