Join a cloud infrastructure platform team developing firmware and low-level software for custom silicon and multi-core ARM systems. The role spans first-silicon bring-up, hardware validation, fleet testing, and production deployment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain C/C++ embedded firmware for platform components, host microcontrollers, and related subsystems.
- Develop bootloaders, drivers, and RTOS-based firmware for multi-core ARM devices.
- Participate in board and chip bring-up from early silicon validation through production readiness.
- Read schematics and debug hardware/software interfaces using laboratory tools.
- Develop firmware flows and commands for fleet testing, monitoring, and operational events.
- Support the full platform lifecycle from prototypes to high-volume production.
- Collaborate with silicon, hardware, platform, and fleet health teams to improve reliability and performance at scale.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of software development experience.
- At least 4 years of embedded firmware development experience.
- Experience developing embedded software in C/C++ or writing low-level drivers.
- Strong understanding of hardware, software, and complete system interactions.
Nice to have
- Experience with modern multi-core ARM devices.
- Experience with board- and chip-level hardware/software interfaces, including I2C, SPI, DRAM, or PCIe.
- Experience developing drivers, bootloaders, and RTOS-based systems.
- Experience reading electrical schematics and debugging hardware/software interfaces with oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
