Develop low-level embedded software and firmware infrastructure for real-time robotic and autonomous systems in a defense technology environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain low-level C/C++ software for real-time systems
- Design, implement, and debug SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, and PWM device drivers
- Perform board bring-up, hardware validation, and system-level debugging
- Build BSP layers and firmware infrastructure for new platforms
- Integrate sensors, actuators, and peripherals
- Interface with flight-control stacks such as PX4
- Optimize real-time performance, latency, and resource utilization
- Collaborate with hardware engineers during design, bring-up, and production
- Support integration and debugging in laboratory and field environments
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
- Experience developing embedded software in C and C++
- Hands-on experience with low-level drivers and hardware interfaces
- Experience with RTOS or Linux-based embedded systems
- Understanding of microcontroller and SoC architectures
- Experience using logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and JTAG debugging tools
Nice to have
- Experience with real-time control systems or robotics platforms
- Familiarity with PX4 or similar flight-control frameworks
- Experience with communication protocols
- Experience with drones, robotics, or autonomous systems
- Knowledge of bootloaders, firmware updates, and system bring-up
