Senior Software Architect & Technical Leader
Lead the architecture and evolution of a Kubernetes-based platform for enterprise network applications. Define technical strategy, design platform services, improve reliability and security, and prepare the platform for AI workloads while mentoring the engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Define platform architecture, technical strategy, and multi-release roadmaps based on product and operational needs.
- Design and evolve Kubernetes capabilities including cluster lifecycle, controllers, scheduling, networking, and storage.
- Lead the design and development of shared platform services for connectivity, identity, distributed data, observability, and automation.
- Improve reliability and security through high-availability design, recovery, capacity planning, threat modeling, and vulnerability remediation.
- Prepare the platform for future AI workloads with workload isolation, resource governance, and accelerator support.
- Raise engineering standards through hands-on development, design reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, and mentoring.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 8+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent practical experience).
- 5+ years building, operating, or extending production Kubernetes platforms.
- Deep Kubernetes knowledge and strong Go and/or Java development experience.
- Proven technical leadership of complex, cross-team initiatives from architecture through production.
- Strong engineering expertise in distributed systems, Linux, containers, networking, security, CI/CD, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools and agentic engineering workflows.
Nice to have
- Experience with Kubernetes operators, controllers, and custom platform APIs.
- Knowledge of distributed databases, messaging, consensus, or dynamic-routing technologies.
- Familiarity with identity and service security in restricted-connectivity or air-gapped environments.
- Experience supporting data-intensive or AI-related workloads on Kubernetes.
