Build and own core proxy and networking infrastructure for a real-time web intelligence platform. Design, deploy, scale, and debug high-throughput systems across protocols, Linux networking, and cloud-native environments.
Responsibilities
- Build core proxy infrastructure, including reverse proxies, IP rotation, session management, and intelligent routing.
- Manage proxy pool health through reputation scoring, monitoring, and blacklist recovery.
- Implement geo-targeting by country, city, and ASN.
- Develop at the TCP/UDP, socket, HTTP/HTTPS/SOCKS5, HTTP/2/3, and Linux networking layers.
- Build monitoring, health checks, failover, and bandwidth and usage metering for the proxy fleet.
- Deploy and scale systems using Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform.
- Design, build, and operate production microservices for high-scale networking systems.
Requirements
- 8+ years of engineering experience.
- At least 2 years of hands-on proxy infrastructure experience.
- Deep protocol-level expertise in TCP/UDP, sockets, HTTP/HTTPS/SOCKS5, HTTP/2/3, and DNS.
- Experience building proxy or networking infrastructure, including reverse proxies, rotation systems, and IP reputation management.
- Knowledge of residential, ISP, mobile, and datacenter proxy characteristics, trade-offs, and failure modes.
- Hands-on experience with Linux networking, including iptables, routing tables, network namespaces, and connection tuning.
- Experience operating high-throughput, low-latency, high-scale systems and debugging issues down to packet traces.
- Cloud infrastructure experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform.
- Strong software engineering ability in Node.js, Rust, Go, or Python, including production microservices.
- Daily expert use of AI-assisted development tools.
