Crusoe is hiring a founding Engineering Manager to establish and lead its Tel Aviv production engineering team. The role combines people leadership with hands-on software engineering, incident response, reliability, and automation across large-scale AI cloud infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, mentor, and establish a high-performing production engineering team in Tel Aviv
- Lead global follow-the-sun on-call operations with US and Dublin teams
- Promote blameless postmortems focused on systemic failure prevention
- Reduce alert noise and automate routine operational workflows
- Build predictive monitoring for critical production incidents
- Govern Production Readiness Reviews and change control across compute, storage, networking, and platform teams
- Reserve team capacity for strategic automation, tooling, and firmware optimization
- Convert recurring physical interventions into software-defined auto-remediation
- Remain hands-on in software development and incident response
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in infrastructure, SRE, or production engineering
- At least 2 years of direct leadership experience with first-line engineering teams in a high-growth cloud or distributed environment
- Strong hands-on coding ability in Go, Python, C++, or a comparable systems language
- Expertise in Linux internals, large-scale container orchestration, and root-cause analysis across physical and virtual systems
- Experience operating tiered on-call models and defining SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets
- Track record of reducing paging fatigue and improving operational reliability
Nice to have
- Experience at a neocloud or AI infrastructure company operating large GPU clusters
- Exposure to InfiniBand, RoCEv2, BMC, firmware qualification, or hardware attestation
- Knowledge of NVIDIA or AMD accelerator failure modes and DCGM telemetry
- Experience supporting major scale expansions and 10x fleet growth
