Lead and mentor a DevOps engineering team while remaining hands-on with cloud infrastructure, automation, delivery pipelines, reliability, and platform security across AWS, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of DevOps engineers.
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, highly available infrastructure across AWS, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
- Drive Infrastructure as Code adoption using Terraform, Helm, and GitOps with ArgoCD.
- Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and GitLab CI.
- Create automation scripts and infrastructure components using Python, Bash, PowerShell, and other programming languages.
- Manage Kubernetes, EKS, OpenShift, and Docker platforms.
- Implement observability and monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana.
- Maintain security standards across platforms and pipelines, including vulnerability scanning, SBOM, and secure container practices.
- Collaborate with development and architecture teams on DevOps strategy and delivery goals.
- Promote automation, reliability, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent education.
- At least 5 years of experience in DevOps and production-grade environments.
- At least 3 years of experience leading or mentoring technical teams.
- Deep expertise in AWS, on-premises, and hybrid cloud architecture.
- Strong Kubernetes expertise, including EKS or OpenShift, and container orchestration.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, Helm, and GitOps using ArgoCD.
- Proficiency with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and GitLab CI.
- Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
- Knowledge of at least two of Java, Golang, Python, and Rust.
- Experience with Ansible or SaltStack.
- Familiarity with vulnerability scanning, SBOM management, and secure container practices.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with multi-cloud architecture using Azure or GCP.
- Experience in platform engineering or infrastructure design.
