Lead the DevOps function and own cloud and software delivery infrastructure end to end. Set technical direction, manage a DevOps team, and partner with engineering leadership to modernize platforms and delivery practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop the DevOps team while maintaining delivery quality.
- Define and execute the infrastructure and DevOps roadmap with engineering leadership.
- Design, deploy, and operate Azure infrastructure, including AKS, networking, identity, and App Services.
- Own Kubernetes platform engineering, including cluster lifecycle, scaling, and workload reliability.
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and developer golden paths for .NET, Python, Angular, and Node.js teams.
- Establish infrastructure-as-code standards using Terraform or Bicep.
- Own observability and incident management, including monitoring, alerting, SLOs, post-incident reviews, and reliability improvements.
- Embed security into delivery pipelines through scanning, secrets management, and least-privilege access.
- Modernize legacy infrastructure and workloads toward cloud-native platforms.
- Monitor and optimize cloud spending and manage vendor relationships.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering, including at least 3 years leading a team.
- Production experience with cloud services, preferably Microsoft Azure.
- Strong Kubernetes administration and operations experience at scale.
- Experience building and owning CI/CD platforms such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Strong infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform or an equivalent tool.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, Bash, or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience with observability platforms such as Dynatrace, Coralogix, or Grafana.
- Strong communication and cross-functional influence skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or Flux.
- Familiarity with microservices and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools and workflows.
