Lead and mentor a SONiC network operating system team while contributing to open-source development and delivering Linux-based Ethernet switch features.
Responsibilities
- Manage, mentor, and guide a SONiC Ethernet switch network operating system team
- Design and implement SONiC features in a Linux environment
- Contribute code to the global SONiC open-source community
- Lead feature development and deliver software independently
- Collaborate with development and architecture teams on SONiC products and technologies
- Work in a continuous deployment environment with rapid development and release cycles
- Promote innovation, quality, and accountability across the team
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of software development experience
- 3+ years in a leadership role managing software development teams
- Proven experience leading scrums and software projects
- Strong C++ and Python programming skills
- Linux operating system knowledge
- Strong coding, software design, technical, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to own feature development and deliver independently
Nice to have
- Networking knowledge across Ethernet, VLANs, TCP/UDP/IP, QoS, or Layer 2–3 protocols
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
