Contribute to core edge platform development for an AI video security company. Design and optimize low-latency, high-performance edge systems, integrate video management and real-time AI, and build secure communication pipelines. Collaborate with AI/ML engineers for on-device model deployment.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to core edge platform development across diverse hardware environments
- Develop and integrate video management capabilities, including streaming, recording, and real-time AI processing
- Design and optimize systems for low-latency, high-performance workloads at the edge
- Build secure and efficient communication pipelines between edge devices and cloud systems
- Work closely with AI/ML engineers to deploy and optimize models on-device
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning
- Collaborate with a talented team of engineers, AI experts, and leadership
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on systems or performance-critical applications
- Strong experience with modern programming languages such as Go, Rust, or TypeScript
- Proven experience with multithreaded and concurrent programming
- Solid understanding of Docker and containerization
- Experience working with embedded systems or edge computing environments
- Strong understanding of networking and distributed systems fundamentals
- Experience building or working with real-time systems
Nice to have
- Experience with video streaming or video pipeline development
- Familiarity with storage systems and data management at the edge
- Experience integrating with cloud services (e.g., AWS S3, GCP, MQTT, Kafka)
- Exposure to deploying or optimizing AI/ML models on edge devices
- Background in security concepts (encryption, secure communication, zero trust architectures)
- Experience with hardware-aware optimization (CPU/GPU/accelerators)
