Senior Network Modeling Engineer
Seeking a Senior Network Modeling Engineer to conduct advanced network research and optimization for AI and HPC workloads. You will model network topologies, analyze performance, and contribute to simulation tool development. Requires 5+ years of coding in C++ and Python, and a background in communication networks.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and model AI and HPC network behavior to generate insights for next-generation system architecture.
- Conduct advanced network modeling, research, and optimization using simulation tools.
- Implement modeling of advanced network topologies, configurations, and traffic patterns representing real-life AI workloads.
- Develop the simulator software solution by contributing modular and scalable code.
- Support hardware and software development life cycles by mapping features into the simulation domain for analysis and optimization.
- Take ownership of the performance modeling roadmap for a defined set of features and interface with internal clients.
- Drive projects from concept to completion and improve simulation software quality.
Requirements
- BSc or above in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on coding experience with strong proficiency in C++ and Python.
- Ability to navigate, optimize, and contribute to a complex, large-scale codebase.
- End-to-end system perspective bridging hardware behavior, micro-architecture, and software performance.
- Project ownership capability with proven ability to lead technical initiatives autonomously.
Nice to have
- Strong background in communication networks technology, including Ethernet, NVLink, and/or Infiniband.
- Familiarity with discrete event simulators such as OMNeT++, SystemC, or proprietary architectural simulators.
- Advanced degree or experience in computer architecture, algorithms, networking, or distributed systems.
