A defense and space-sector organization is seeking a Senior C#/.NET Backend Developer to lead backend engineering for a strategic, long-term SaaS platform. The role focuses on scalable microservices, distributed systems, APIs, and cloud-native deployment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of core backend services using C# and .NET Core
- Own complex backend components within a large-scale SaaS platform
- Design scalable, reliable, and maintainable microservices for distributed systems
- Develop REST APIs and backend infrastructure
- Drive technical decisions involving architecture, performance, scalability, and reliability
- Collaborate with software, systems engineering, DevOps, integration, and product teams
- Lead design discussions, code reviews, technical investigations, debugging, and integration activities
- Mentor developers and promote engineering best practices
- Work within an Agile/Scrum development environment
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent military experience from a technological unit
- At least 5 years of hands-on C#/.NET development experience
- Hands-on experience with .NET Core or ASP.NET Core
- Experience designing and developing microservices-based systems
- Hands-on Kubernetes experience
- Experience with Docker and modern deployment environments
- Strong understanding of software architecture, object-oriented programming, design patterns, clean code, and SOLID principles
- Experience leading technical tasks, mentoring developers, or influencing system architecture
- Ability to work on complex, mission-critical systems in a multidisciplinary environment

- Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, or event-driven architecture
- Defense, aerospace, satellite, UAV, or C4I experience
