Own end-to-end delivery of critical data-driven features across cloud and embedded systems. Provide technical leadership, guide architecture and engineering practices, and support reliable production services.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical direction and decisions across services.
- Review architecture proposals and participate in design discussions.
- Set code review standards and maintain consistent engineering quality.
- Lead or support production incident response, root cause analysis, and postmortems.
- Build working knowledge across group services and contribute to unfamiliar codebases.
- Mentor engineers in system design, best practices, and troubleshooting.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of backend development experience.
- Strong Java and Spring Boot expertise.
- Experience designing and building large-scale distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for real-time data streaming.
- Knowledge of SQL databases such as MariaDB and NoSQL databases such as Cassandra and Redis, including data access optimization.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
Nice to have
- Python, FastAPI, Pandas, or Apache Airflow experience.
- Experience with IoT platforms, hardware orchestration, or algorithmic optimization systems.
- Familiarity with operationalizing machine learning models or building scalable data platforms.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools.
