Responsibilities

Own feature development from design and implementation through production rollout and continuous improvement.
Build and operate scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend services in a microservices environment.
Participate in system design, architecture planning, and technical decision-making.
Develop and maintain asynchronous, message-driven components using Redis Streams.
Debug and tune stream processing to ensure resilient operation.
Write maintainable, well-tested code and participate in code reviews.
Collaborate with teammates and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver product outcomes.

Requirements

At least 5 years of hands-on software engineering experience, including at least 3 years focused on backend JavaScript or Node.js development.
Experience building and maintaining SaaS applications or production backend services.
Experience with microservices architecture, including service boundaries, APIs, and reliability patterns.
Hands-on experience with MongoDB and Redis, including Redis Streams or similar publish/subscribe and stream-processing technologies.
Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerized deployments.
Strong understanding of APIs, data modeling, performance, scalability, and reliability.
Proficiency in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to learn quickly and work independently and collaboratively.

Experience with Snowflake and data pipelines or analytics.
Experience with AWS and cloud-based production environments.
