Seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to architect, build, and scale robust, high-performance systems. You'll own features end-to-end, develop APIs in Golang, implement routing algorithms, and maintain Python/Java applications. Hybrid work in Tel Aviv.
Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and scale robust, high-performance systems from design to production.
- Own features end-to-end, including concept, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Develop features and APIs for concurrent applications in Golang.
- Implement and improve geometric and graph algorithms for core product functionality.
- Maintain Python and Java server applications, ensuring reliability and stability.
- Write production-grade code that is efficient, reliable, and maintainable.
- Optimize application performance, uptime, and scalability.
- Run benchmarks and write analysis scripts for geographical data.
Requirements
- BSc in Computer Science or equivalent (required).
- 4+ years of hands-on software development experience.
- Experience with one or more programming languages (Python, Go, Java, etc.).
- Strong grasp of core software engineering principles: data structures, multithreading, OOP, and design patterns.
- Proven experience building and scaling highly available, distributed, large-scale systems.
- Solid understanding of system design, distributed systems, and software architecture.
- Ability to break down complex problems into clear, manageable pieces.
Nice to have
- MSc degree.
- 2+ years of professional Python experience.
- Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
