Responsibilities
- Own features and systems end-to-end, from understanding user problems to operating in production.
- Design, build, and operate high-scale backend infrastructure with real-time, low-latency requirements.
- Collaborate directly with product and engineering to shape product direction.
- Resolve complex production issues related to performance, reliability, and data processing.
- Continuously improve system architecture, observability, and development practices.
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate daily engineering work.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience building complex distributed backend systems in production with Go, Node.js, or Python on GCP or AWS.
- Deep understanding of scalability, performance, system design, and cloud infrastructure.
- Strong problem-solving instincts and product mindset.
- Ability to work autonomously, take ownership, and make sound judgments without detailed specs.
- Comfortable with ambiguity in a small team environment.
- Proactive mindset with initiative and accountability.
