Backend Software Engineer

Build and operate backend systems, web applications, and AI agents for a B2B product. This hands-on, full-time, on-site role is based in Tel Aviv.
Responsibilities
- Own features end to end, from architecture through production.
- Design and develop scalable backend services, APIs, asynchronous workflows, and web applications.
- Build AI agents that collect data, analyze information, validate results, and execute workflows.
- Help establish engineering standards for code quality, scalability, security, and observability.
- Participate in code reviews, technical decisions, and engineering practices.
- Collaborate with a small multidisciplinary team.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong backend or full-stack engineering background and experience operating production systems.
- Experience with Python and with React, Next.js, Node.js, or similar web technologies.
- Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP.
- Understanding of APIs, asynchronous processes, queues, monitoring, system architecture, and client-server web applications.
- Strong code quality and code review skills.
- Previous professional experience in the technology industry.
Nice to have
- Experience with AI engineering, AI agents, or agentic systems.
- Familiarity with LangChain, LangGraph, or similar frameworks.
- Background combining software engineering with data or machine learning.
- Experience building complex products in data-heavy environments.
