Senior AI and Computer Vision Algorithm Developer
Join a core team developing AI solutions for defense applications, with a focus on geospatial and tactical computer vision. Work across on-premises, cloud, and edge environments in a four-month, full-time, on-site freelance engagement.
Responsibilities
- Research, develop, productize, and deploy computer vision algorithms using AI models.
- Solve complex computer vision problems using current AI methods.
- Work with satellite, UAV, drone, and tactical-platform imagery, including SAR, EO, IR, and hyperspectral data.
- Contribute to the technological direction of the core team.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of industry experience developing AI and computer vision algorithms.
- At least 3 years of experience in relevant AI algorithm areas, such as perception, self-supervision, representation learning, few-shot learning, continuous learning, video analysis, vision-language models, or object detection and tracking.
- Experience with representation learning, including embeddings or feature vectors.
- Experience with few-shot and self-supervised learning.
- Knowledge of signal processing, statistical algorithms, temporal architecture design, and classical computer vision techniques.
- Proficiency in Python and PyTorch.
- Strong ability to learn independently and willingness to undergo security clearance.
Nice to have
- Experience with geospatial, satellite, or aerial vision, including EO, SAR, or IR imagery.
- Background in radar systems, SIGINT, or defense and classified electronic warfare projects.
