Contribute to the design, development, and delivery of AI-powered features and services for sovereign and regulated cloud environments as an AI Engineer Intern. Work with mentors on agents, prompt flows, retrieval workflows, evaluation, and cloud-native development. Ideal for creative, self-driven students with a passion for AI engineering and solving complex problems in 0-to-1 product spaces.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, debug, and maintain software components for AI-powered products and services.
- Contribute production-quality code that is secure, performant, and aligned with team standards.
- Partner with engineers and stakeholders to translate requirements into engineering tasks.
- Contribute to AI features such as agents, tool/API integrations, prompt flows, retrieval, evaluation, and monitoring.
- Define and run tests, evaluations, and quality checks for AI behavior accuracy and reliability.
- Investigate issues using logs, traces, and debugging tools, and incorporate feedback.
- Learn and apply engineering best practices in code quality, security, responsible AI, CI/CD, and observability.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing an M.Sc. or M.A. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, or related field.
- Programming experience in languages such as Python, C#, Java, or TypeScript.
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, software design, and debugging.
- Ability to communicate clearly, collaborate effectively, and learn quickly in a team.
Nice to have
- Pursuing a Doctorate in a relevant field.
- 1+ year of programming experience.
- 6+ months of team project delivery.
- 1+ year developing and applying data structures and algorithms.
- Familiarity with AI/ML, generative AI, LLMs, agents, RAG, prompt engineering, or evaluation.
- Basic familiarity with cloud, REST APIs, SDKs, CI/CD, telemetry, or observability.
- Interest in responsible AI, security, reliability, and regulated cloud environments.
- Demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset, creativity, initiative, and ownership.
