Senior UX Designer, Naval Operational Systems

Design user experiences for complex naval operational systems, including combat management and command-and-control environments, as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead UX design for complex naval operational systems
  • Define interfaces for combat management systems and command-and-control environments
  • Maintain and evolve Figma design systems
  • Conduct user research, workflow and task analysis, and usability evaluations
  • Collaborate with systems engineers, software developers, human factors specialists, and operational stakeholders
  • Advocate for usability and UX throughout the development lifecycle
  • Create UX specifications, user flows, wireframes, and documentation in Hebrew and English
  • Design intuitive experiences for data-heavy, real-time, mission-critical systems
  • Promote reusable, standardized design concepts across defense programs

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in UX design, human factors, HMI, or a related discipline for complex systems
  • Mandatory experience with naval or maritime systems, combat systems, CMS, or similar operational maritime environments
  • Strong Figma and design-system expertise
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering and development teams
  • Experience designing complex, data-intensive, real-time operational systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in Hebrew and English
  • Ability to obtain security clearance

Nice to have

  • Experience in human factors engineering or HMI design
  • Experience with defense, C4I, command and control, radar, electronic warfare, or other operational systems
  • Experience working directly with military or operational end users
  • Experience on large-scale defense or mission-critical projects
