Design and ship end-to-end experiences for an industrial software platform covering monitoring, diagnostics, optimization, control, reporting, and sustainability. Use AI-native workflows, code-based prototypes, and automation to improve both the product and the design team's effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Own product design end to end, from problem framing and user research through flows, states, high-fidelity UI, developer handoff, and design QA.
- Turn complex industrial systems into clear and efficient journeys for expert and new users.
- Design AI interactions that support delegation, understanding, trust, explainability, uncertainty handling, and recovery.
- Prototype interactions in code and with AI tools to test working concepts early.
- Work within and extend the design system, including components, tokens, patterns, and documentation.
- Build agents, orchestrations, and automated assets for research synthesis, specification writing, design-system maintenance, QA, and handoff.
- Partner with product, engineering, and industrial experts from initial concept through release quality.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience designing digital products, preferably B2B SaaS with dashboards, data-heavy interfaces, monitoring or control systems, configuration, permissions, or operational workflows.
- Daily practical use of AI, with examples of agents, orchestrations, automated assets, custom instructions, or working prototypes.
- Ability to prototype with AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or Figma Make.
- Strong UX and UI design skills, systems thinking, product judgment, and visual precision.
- Advanced Figma skills, including components, variants, variables, auto layout, prototyping, and design-system work.
- Ability to define problems, work independently, explain trade-offs, and own outcomes.
- Portfolio showing the challenge, decisions, trade-offs, and shipped result.
- Working spoken and written English.
Nice to have
- Experience designing AI-native or agentic features such as assistants, copilots, recommendations, or human-in-the-loop workflows.
- Experience at a product company using AI in daily workflows.
- Background in industrial, IoT, energy, manufacturing, or other domains with physical constraints.
- Experience with data visualization, diagrams, schematics, alerting, or time-series interfaces.
- Experience scaling design systems, including documentation and governance.
- Familiarity with frontend fundamentals and design-to-code workflows.
