Senior Product Designer

Own the end-to-end experience for an AI business software product, including conversational interactions, onboarding, activation, retention, and product-led growth. Partner with product, engineering, founders, and users to research, ship, measure, and improve the product.
Responsibilities
- Design conversational and agent experiences, including communication, transparency, permissions, and autonomous actions
- Own onboarding from initial channel connection through the first approved action
- Design engagement and adoption experiences such as proactive cards, notifications, and recurring product rhythms
- Lead product-led growth surfaces including signup, trials, upgrades, and in-product value communication
- Use user research, product usage data, and support conversations to guide design decisions
- Conduct direct research with small business owners when existing data is insufficient
- Build and maintain a scalable design system
- Partner with product and engineering to ship frequently, measure results, and iterate
- Shape interface copy in collaboration with product and marketing
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience designing digital products
- Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end ownership across research, user flows, interaction design, visual design, and outcomes
- Experience taking at least one product from an early stage to meaningful adoption
- Strong understanding of onboarding, activation, and retention loops
- Ability to analyze funnels and session recordings, form hypotheses, and design experiments
- Excellent product writing and interface copy skills
- Comfort working independently in ambiguous, fast-changing environments

- Experience with small and medium-sized business products or ecosystems
- Experience with self-serve or product-led growth products
- Experience designing conversational, AI-driven, or agentic interfaces
