Product Designer — Maternity Leave Replacement

Join a centralized design team for a full-time maternity leave replacement. Own product areas from research and ideation through design, testing, and launch, working closely with product managers and engineers. The role is hybrid, with office collaboration and the option to work partially from home.
Responsibilities
- Own product design from research and ideation through user flows, prototyping, testing, microcopy, and launch
- Turn complex data into clear, trustworthy, actionable experiences
- Design AI-powered interfaces, including agentic and conversational flows, with attention to trust, explainability, human oversight, and model errors
- Use AI tools to explore concepts, build interactive prototypes, and develop working features for engineering review
- Maintain and evolve design-system components, variables, tokens, patterns, and guidelines
- Use quantitative and qualitative data to research, track, and measure design flows
- Communicate design decisions, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders, including executives
- Evaluate new tools and workflows and adopt effective approaches
Requirements
- At least 3 years of product design experience, including delivery of digital SaaS products
- A portfolio showing design skills, process, and impact on business objectives
- Strong data visualization skills and familiarity with dense analytical interfaces
- Practical use of AI in design work, such as prototyping, exploration, research, or production
- Technical literacy to develop designs beyond static mockups using AI tools and assess the output
- Experience with Figma libraries, including components, variants, variables, and tokens, and keeping designs aligned with engineering
- Ability to present design decisions and communicate with stakeholders
- Independence and comfort working through ambiguity
Nice to have
- Experience designing AI-native features such as agents, copilots, chat, or generative interfaces
- Experience with complex SaaS or analytics platforms
- Experience creating structured context files or prompt rules for AI tools
- Experience designing for digital marketers, competitive intelligence, e-commerce, web analytics, or mobile apps
- Experience building a design system
