Mid-Level Product Designer
Own end-to-end product design for web, mobile, widgets, and user portals, collaborating with product and engineering teams in a fully remote role.
Responsibilities
- Lead product design initiatives from problem definition and exploration through validation, delivery, launch, and iteration.
- Partner with product leaders, engineers, and designers to define direction and turn user needs into effective experiences.
- Design desktop web, native iOS and Android, widgets, and user portals.
- Build and maintain Figma libraries, components, variables, and design-system patterns.
- Create interactive prototypes to support learning and decisions.
- Collaborate with engineering during implementation, review builds, and resolve design drift.
- Conduct user research and usability testing and incorporate feedback into product improvements.
- Communicate design decisions through specifications, presentations, walkthroughs, and asynchronous collaboration.
- Manage priorities across product areas and refine existing experiences while introducing features.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional product design experience, ideally in SaaS or software products.
- Advanced Figma skills, including components, Auto Layout, variables, prototyping, and Dev Mode.
- Experience spanning product exploration, flow mapping, and polished interface design.
- Experience designing data-dense desktop applications and native mobile experiences.
- Knowledge of responsive design, accessibility, and UX patterns for complex applications.
- Experience conducting user research and usability testing and applying findings to product decisions.
- Strong visual design skills, including typography, color, grids, layout, hierarchy, iconography, and illustration.
- A systems-oriented approach to structured, documented, reusable design patterns.
- Strong written and asynchronous communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and adapt to evolving tools and practices.
- Availability for at least four hours of overlap with the core team.
