Junior Mechanical and Product Design Engineer

Responsibilities
- Design high-density copper panels, fiber trays, and smart physical enclosures using 3D CAD tools
- Prepare manufacturing drawings, bills of materials, and assembly instructions
- Support material selection and evaluate sheet metal and plastic injection molding processes
- Participate in prototyping, design improvements, and mechanical troubleshooting
- Integrate LED indicators, sensors, controller cards, and other electronic components into mechanical designs
- Set up prototype test environments and perform quality assurance testing for fit, durability, functionality, and performance
- Identify design and manufacturing issues and coordinate solutions with cross-functional engineering teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering
- 2–5 years of relevant experience; strong fresh graduates with practical experience may also apply
- Familiarity with 3D CAD software, particularly SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor
- Strong technical orientation and willingness to work hands-on with physical products and prototypes
- Curiosity about electronics, fiber optics, and software
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills
Nice to have
- Experience or interest in graphic or product design
- Experience with academic projects, internships, or practical engineering work
- Familiarity with Autodesk Inventor
- Knowledge of fiber-optic or copper cabling standards
