A financial organization is seeking a hands-on SQL Server DBA to manage and optimize complex production database environments and support application and database processes.
Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and operate Microsoft SQL Server environments.
- Install, upgrade, and configure SQL Server instances.
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and tune databases.
- Optimize queries, stored procedures, indexes, and execution plans.
- Support Always On Availability Groups and high-availability environments.
- Maintain SQL Server Agent jobs, ETL processes, and database automations.
- Work with development teams to improve performance, design solutions, and resolve database issues.
- Support production environments and complex incidents.
- Improve database reliability, scalability, and operational stability.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on Microsoft SQL Server DBA experience.
- Experience as both an infrastructure and application DBA.
- Strong performance-tuning and query-optimization skills.
- Understanding of execution plans, indexing, locking, blocking, and deadlocks.
- Experience with stored procedures, T-SQL, SQL Server Agent, and jobs.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with development and infrastructure teams.
