Join our Raanana team to manage and optimize Oracle production databases, support AWS infrastructure, and contribute to the migration to PostgreSQL. Responsibilities include performance tuning, backup and recovery, and collaboration with development teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and optimize Oracle production databases.
- Install, configure, upgrade, and monitor Oracle database environments.
- Ensure database availability, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery readiness.
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement tuning improvements.
- Support Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, and Oracle Enterprise Manager environments.
- Collaborate with development teams on SQL optimization and database best practices.
- Support and maintain databases running in AWS.
- Participate in planning and executing migration from Oracle to PostgreSQL.
- Create and maintain automation, documentation, and operational standards.
- Contribute to capacity planning and continuous platform improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience as a DBA.
- Knowledge of performance tuning, SQL tuning, backup and recovery, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with AWS infrastructure and cloud-based database environments.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, or strong interest in Oracle-to-PostgreSQL migration projects.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
