Lead a team of data scientists and guide data strategy, analytics, and algorithm development for a real-time advertising platform. Work with large-scale data and cross-functional teams to deliver solutions for business and product needs.
Responsibilities
- Mentor and lead a team of data scientists
- Initiate and manage projects from inception through delivery, including building structured and automated solutions
- Set data strategy and prioritize solutions to support business needs
- Analyze large, diverse datasets and develop algorithms and models to solve complex problems
- Identify data science and algorithmic solutions for product initiatives
- Explain technical concepts and analytical findings to senior leaders and influence cross-functional teams
- Partner with management, R&D, and product teams to support decision-making
Requirements
- At least 2 years of team leadership experience
- At least 4 years of practical analytics experience in a big-data business
- Experience querying large, complex datasets and understanding statistical significance
- Hands-on experience with machine-learning algorithms, Python, and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Looker
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in mathematics, statistics, engineering, computer science, or another quantitative field
Nice to have
- Familiarity with the ad-tech industry
- Experience implementing real-time machine-learning and data-mining algorithms at scale
