Seeking a Product Manager to lead the reagents business, driving innovation and growth. This role involves developing reagent solutions that integrate with hardware and software to provide full workflow solutions and create recurring revenue. The position is based on-site in Wetzlar, Germany, within the Life Sciences and Applied business unit.
Responsibilities
- Drive innovation for reagent products in collaboration with Hardware/Software Product Managers, R&D, Strategic Marketing, and Regional Units, based on customer needs and market trends.
- Develop product business plans and create business cases for development projects that translate product ideas into commercially effective solutions.
- Establish a commercial infrastructure to support the reagents business and generate recurring revenue, in conjunction with sales and marketing.
- Scout for partnerships with external companies to fill gaps in the product line, build relationships, and negotiate with potential partners or acquisition targets.
- Analyze product portfolio positioning, markets, and global pricing, and gather voice of customer feedback to evaluate customer experience.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management for reagent products.
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences or engineering; advanced degree (MSc, PhD, MBA) preferred.
- Ability to generate complete business cases, define KPIs, and critically analyze metrics for decision-making.
- Experience identifying, negotiating with, and managing external partners.
- Willingness to travel approximately 20%.
Nice to have
- Experience in spatial biology and microscopy.
- Experience in development of product portfolio strategic plans.
- Familiarity with Danaher Business Systems.
