Product Manager - Local Payments

Lead product strategy and execution for a portfolio of local payment methods at a global payments platform. Drive discovery, optimize payment flows, and collaborate with engineering, compliance, and commercial teams to deliver seamless, high-performing payment experiences for leading fintechs and merchants.

Responsibilities

  • Execute product strategy for local payments, from scheme engagement to feature development and market launch.
  • Drive product discovery and delivery, collaborating with engineers and stakeholders to create innovative payment experiences.
  • Develop and optimize the payments portfolio, balancing scheme requirements, financial efficiency, and high success rates.
  • Analyze data on payment acceptance rates, scheme performance, and financial flows to drive meaningful outcomes.
  • Define success metrics and KPIs to measure payment method efficiency and enable data-driven decisions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Compliance, Risk, Sales, and Customer Success to refine requirements and implement features.
  • Inform roadmap planning and lead execution for strategic integration of new local payment methods and optimization of existing flows.
  • Stay ahead of regulatory changes, market trends, and best practices in local payments.

Requirements

  • Fluency in English, Portuguese, and Spanish is mandatory.
  • Proven experience owning a product or feature set, leading product discovery, and executing in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work with data, define KPIs, and drive insights-based decisions.
  • Technical fluency, including experience with APIs, automation tools, and collaboration with technical teams.
  • Customer-obsessed mindset with the ability to translate user needs into frictionless product experiences.
  • Exceptional collaboration skills to work effectively with engineering, compliance, commercial teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Bias for action with a pragmatic approach to decision-making, balancing long-term vision with near-term execution.
