Join a remote game development team as a Game Tester responsible for validating mobile games, identifying defects, and helping deliver polished player experiences.
Responsibilities
- Execute functional, regression, compatibility, and exploratory testing throughout the development lifecycle
- Test gameplay mechanics, features, user interfaces, controls, and game flows against design specifications
- Identify, document, and report defects with reproduction steps, expected and actual results, and supporting evidence
- Verify fixes and conduct regression testing to detect newly introduced issues
- Collaborate with developers, designers, producers, and QA colleagues to investigate and resolve issues
- Evaluate usability, game balance, performance, stability, compatibility, and overall player experience
- Maintain test cases, test documentation, and QA processes
- Improve testing workflows, methodologies, and quality standards
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Game Tester, QA Tester, or Quality Assurance Engineer in the game industry
- Strong understanding of game mechanics, player experience, and game genres
- Experience executing structured test plans and exploratory testing
- Hands-on experience with bug tracking and test management tools such as Jira or TestRail
- Understanding of software testing methodologies, QA processes, and defect lifecycle management
- Experience testing across multiple mobile devices, operating systems, and hardware configurations
- Familiarity with functional, regression, compatibility, usability, and performance testing
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment
Nice to have
- Experience testing live-service or mobile games
- Familiarity with Unity or other game engines
- Experience with test case management and test documentation
- Basic understanding of game development pipelines and Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Knowledge of mobile analytics, crash reporting, or performance profiling tools
