Technical Project Manager
Oversee technical projects that improve manufacturing processes, support new equipment and facility expansions, launch new services, and drive operational efficiencies. Coordinate cross-functional teams, manage project schedules, budgets, and risks, and ensure successful project execution in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead projects from initiation to completion, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery
- Define project goals, scope, and timelines in collaboration with stakeholders
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
- Coordinate cross-departmental communication and facilitate project meetings
- Develop and maintain project documentation including plans, schedules, budgets, and reports
- Collaborate with leadership to prioritize projects based on business goals
- Utilize project management tools to track and report performance
- Engage with vendors and contractors, review quotes, and provide recommendations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Project Management, or related field preferred
- 5-7 years of hands-on project management experience
- Manufacturing experience required
- Experience managing projects within a manufacturing environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Google Suite, MS Office)
- Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001:2015, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing
- Familiarity with ERP systems, manufacturing operations, facilities, compliance, and cross-functional collaboration
Nice to have
- PMP certification preferred
- Experience in permitting for industrial/commercial manufacturing buildings
- Experience managing capital projects, equipment installations, facility expansions, or new manufacturing process implementations
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Operations, Facilities, IT, and Product Development
