Project Manager
Overall leadership responsibility for quality execution of projects in the metals machinery industry, maximizing contract value and ensuring alignment with company objectives. Manages project lifecycle from initiation to closure, directs cross-functional teams, and serves as primary customer contact.
Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership for project execution, ensuring quality, financial, and strategic objectives are met.
- Act as primary point of contact for customer communications throughout the project.
- Direct cross-functional project teams including Engineering, Purchasing, QA, and Financial Controlling.
- Prepare project plans, schedules, budgets, and monitor performance against objectives.
- Analyze financial data and prepare status reports with recommendations for corrective actions.
- Manage scope change negotiations, timely invoicing, and project closeout.
- Travel extensively domestically and internationally as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or management preferred, with 3+ years of experience; or 5+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
- Experience in project management and knowledge of common procedures; may be partially replaced by experience as Project Engineer, Contract Administrator, etc.
- Preferred: MBA, PMI certification or equivalent.
