Director of Corporate Development & M&A

Lead corporate development and M&A strategy for a global digital intelligence company. Own deal sourcing, valuation, diligence, negotiation, and integration. Collaborate with executive team to drive inorganic growth, leveraging AI to enhance processes.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end M&A and corporate development strategy across B2B and B2C.
  • Define inorganic growth thesis by domain, identifying targets and strategic gaps.
  • Advise CEO, CFO, and CBO on build-vs-buy-vs-partner decisions.
  • Champion AI-first ways of working in sourcing, diligence, and deal execution.
  • Build and manage a proprietary pipeline of acquisition, investment, and partnership targets.
  • Lead full deal lifecycle: sourcing, valuation, modeling, diligence, negotiation, structuring, and closing.
  • Assess risk and opportunity with quantitative and strategic judgment.
  • Maintain network of bankers, advisors, and founders for proprietary deal flow.
  • Lead cross-functional deal teams across Product, Engineering, Finance, Legal, Tax, GTM, HR, and R&D.
  • Partner with business owners on synergy assumptions and integration feasibility pre-signing.
  • Own handoff from diligence to post-merger integration (PMI).
  • Build and mentor the corporate development function.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or strategy consulting.
  • Significant experience in technology, SaaS, or data/analytics.
  • Track record of leading deals from origination through close and integration.
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
  • Comfort presenting to and influencing C-suite and board audiences.
  • Strong personal network across tech, data, and investor ecosystem.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Law, or Management.

Nice to have

  • MBA from a top-tier program strongly preferred.
  • Experience spanning both B2B and B2C deal contexts.
