Developer Advocate responsible for representing a DevOps platform across developer communities, creating technical content and demos, gathering product feedback, and engaging with open source ecosystems. Requires 8+ years of software engineering or DevOps experience and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the company across developer, DevOps, security, and platform-engineering communities through conferences, meetups, webinars, and online conversations.
  • Create high-quality technical content: articles, demos, guides, screencasts, and code samples.
  • Build compelling demos and storytelling around core platform features and integrations.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Product, Security, and Customer Success teams to understand new capabilities and provide feedback.
  • Engage with open source and developer communities to identify new channels and conversations.
  • Partner with Marketing to strengthen messaging while preserving technical credibility.
  • Monitor and report impact across community engagement, content performance, and DevRel KPIs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in CS, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience as a Software Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Security Engineer, or similar technical role.
  • Proven experience presenting technical topics to developer audiences.
  • Strong writing and storytelling ability for complex technical concepts.
  • Deep understanding of DevOps/DevSecOps ecosystem, software supply chain, CI/CD workflows, and developer tooling.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with developers, leaders, and community members.
  • Familiarity with developer social platforms for community engagement.
  • Self-driven with goal-setting and impact measurement skills.
