A defense organization seeks an experienced engineer to define requirements and architecture for complex multidisciplinary systems. The role combines technical leadership with hands-on laboratory work.
Responsibilities
- Define system requirements, analyze requirements, and develop system architecture
- Prepare system requirements, architecture, and interface control documents
- Lead system design activities, engineering reviews, and integration processes
- Coordinate with hardware, software, electronics, and RF engineering teams
- Provide technical guidance to development teams and lead cross-functional engineering interfaces
- Conduct laboratory experiments and use test and measurement equipment
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- Approximately 5–15 years of experience in development, systems engineering, or complex system design
- Demonstrated experience in system design, architecture definition, and requirements engineering beyond testing and integration alone
- Practical and theoretical knowledge in at least one engineering area, such as hardware, software, control systems, power systems, or electro-optics
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and leading engineering processes
Nice to have
- Hands-on laboratory experience and system integration expertise
- Familiarity with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, voltmeters, and other laboratory instruments
- Experience with propulsion systems, algorithms, or electro-optical systems
