Lead systems engineering for a complex aerospace System of Systems, maintaining the system-level view across interconnected platforms and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Own system-level engineering for a complex System of Systems.
- Translate operational and customer needs into system architecture, verifiable requirements, and system and interface specifications.
- Define and manage interfaces and dependencies across radar, electro-optical, software, and hardware teams.
- Lead system integration, verification, and validation, including system-level troubleshooting and technical issue resolution.
- Participate in field integration and ground and live-fire test campaigns.
- Identify system risks, interface gaps, and integration challenges, and drive technical solutions.
- Contribute to SRR, PDR, and CDR design reviews and technical trade-off studies.
- Act as the technical focal point for system-level and cross-system topics.
- Report progress, risks, and technical decisions to systems engineering leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of systems engineering experience in complex multidisciplinary systems, particularly involving radar, electro-optical systems, and interconnected subsystems.
- Hands-on experience with system requirements, architecture, interface definition, integration, verification, and validation.
- Strong ability to analyze cross-system dependencies and technical trade-offs.
- Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
- Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
Nice to have
- Experience in defense or aerospace.
- Familiarity with systems engineering methodologies and best practices.
- Eligibility for security clearance.
