Arm is seeking a Senior Functional Safety Engineer to support safety solutions for next-generation GPU products used in automotive, robotics, and other safety-critical applications. The role is based in Raanana with hybrid working arrangements.
Responsibilities
- Develop and review ISO 26262 functional safety work products
- Create and maintain safety plans, safety cases, safety manuals, and related documentation
- Perform FMEA, DFA, FTA, and FMEDA safety analyses
- Support hardware and software teams in deriving and implementing safety requirements
- Write, review, and manage safety requirements throughout the product lifecycle
- Participate in functional safety audits, assessments, and reviews
- Support tool qualification activities
- Improve functional safety methodologies and processes
- Collaborate with architecture, hardware, verification, and software teams
Requirements
- Strong understanding of computer architecture and modern SoC design
- Knowledge of functional safety concepts and ISO 26262
- Experience designing RTL for complex ASICs, IPs, or SoCs
- Experience with DFMEA, DFA, FTA, or FMEDA safety analysis techniques
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary engineering teams
Nice to have
- Experience with GPU, CPU, or other complex processor architectures
- Familiarity with SystemVerilog, UVM, or formal verification
- Experience with Cadence, Synopsys, or other industry-standard EDA tools
- Experience with Jama, DRM, or similar requirements management tools
- Exposure to both hardware and software functional safety development
- Experience supporting internal or external safety assessments and audits
