An engineering team is seeking a junior verification engineer to validate signal-processing and RF systems through complex hardware, software, firmware, and test-equipment setups.
Responsibilities
- Study engineering requirements documents and define system verification activities.
- Develop verification plans and implement system-level tests for signal-processing and RF systems.
- Design and build complex development-laboratory test setups using dedicated hardware, software, firmware, and varied test equipment.
- Execute verification plans and analyze test results with engineering tools.
- Collaborate with algorithm, software, and firmware engineers to investigate and characterize faults.
- Support software, firmware, and hardware integration activities using broad systems understanding.
- Conduct performance investigations using Python and MATLAB.
- Develop C# software for automated testing and test-result analysis.
- Present verification findings to relevant engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or electrical and computer engineering.
- Electrical or electronics practical engineer or technician qualification.
- Ability to learn complex topics in signal-processing projects.
- Strong engineering curiosity.
Nice to have
- Previous development-verification experience.
- Experience with MATLAB.
- Experience with C# or Python.
- Familiarity with laboratory test equipment such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.
- Background in a military technology unit or at least three years of experience in the defense industry.
