Lead a team validating customer-facing networking solutions through large-scale end-to-end simulation, automated regression, and AI-driven testing.
Responsibilities
- Build and lead a team of network validation engineers
- Own validation strategy, methodology, roadmap, test coverage, and quality gates
- Design and operate AI-driven agents for regression analysis, coverage-gap detection, test-case generation, and validation code implementation
- Oversee automated regression suites for networking protocols and large-scale simulation runs
- Establish regression analysis practices to identify trends, root causes, and systemic coverage gaps
- Partner with design, architecture, and networking teams to translate requirements into simulation scenarios and provide early quality feedback
- Analyze customer-reported networking issues and drive test-gap analysis and recurrence prevention
- Monitor networking standards, simulation technologies, and industry practices to improve validation capabilities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- At least 3 years of experience leading or managing software or hardware validation or test engineering teams
- At least 7 years of experience in network validation, network testing, or systems verification
- Experience developing and executing test automation strategies for network or distributed systems at scale
- Hands-on experience with Python-based automation
- Strong knowledge of regression analysis and the ability to derive engineering improvements from large-scale test data
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with architecture, design, and product teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting validation strategies and quality metrics to senior leadership
Nice to have
- Deep knowledge of networking protocols and architectures, including BGP, EVPN, VXLAN, RDMA/RoCE, Ethernet, IP routing, and L2/L3 switching
- Experience with network simulation or emulation environments such as Containerlab, GNS3, or SONiC testbeds
- Experience validating data center or hyperscale networking environments and spine-leaf, fat-tree, or Clos topologies
- Familiarity with BlueField DPUs, ConnectX NICs, Spectrum switches, or the DOCA software stack
- Experience translating customer use cases into structured simulation and test scenarios
