Category Manager
Own commercial planning and product operations, including manufacturer orders, local inventory, supplier relationships, market research and commercial negotiations.
Responsibilities
- Manage ordering processes with manufacturers, including inventory forecasts and order transmission.
- Manage local inventory and maintain ongoing business relationships with manufacturers.
- Hold meetings, provide required reports and coordinate communication between manufacturers and internal teams.
- Plan budgets, inventory forecasts, costs and pricing.
- Conduct market research, identify customer and product characteristics and pursue commercial opportunities.
- Negotiate costs and commercial agreements.
- Create and update product knowledge resources.
Requirements
- Academic degree required.
- At least 3 years of experience as an automotive product manager, or 5 years in a similar role in another industry.
- Experience with economic analysis, import processes, business development and decision-support materials.
- Experience managing projects or cross-functional processes.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
- Excellent English.
- Experience with ERP and business intelligence systems.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, accuracy and assertiveness skills.
