A construction contractor is seeking an experienced manager to establish and lead its logistics center, overseeing inventory, warehouse operations, staff, and deliveries to project sites.
Responsibilities
- Establish and specify the company's logistics center from the ground up.
- Develop workflows and procedures for inventory and logistics management.
- Manage inventory and stock movements in Priority.
- Oversee goods receiving, storage, picking, issuing, and distribution to company sites.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and manage stock counts, shortages, and waste.
- Lead, train, motivate, and assign work to employees.
- Coordinate with procurement, suppliers, project managers, and site managers.
- Improve logistics and operational processes.
- Maintain organization and safety in the logistics center.
- Produce reports and perform operational controls using Priority.
Requirements
- Previous experience managing a logistics center for a construction contractor.
- Proven experience managing employees.
- Degree in Industrial Engineering and Management.
- Experience with Priority software.
- Experience establishing and specifying a logistics center.
- Experience managing inventory across multiple projects and construction sites.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with construction materials and equipment.
