Manage transient room inventory and revenue performance for a cluster of hotel properties. Analyze demand, sales results, market conditions, and competitor positioning to develop and implement pricing and distribution strategies.
Responsibilities
- Monitor actual sales against projections and produce accurate revenue reports and updates.
- Analyze demand, market trends, future need periods, competitor positioning, and obstacles to performance.
- Manage transient rooms inventory and release group rooms to maximize revenue.
- Recommend pricing, rate restrictions, positioning, and selling strategies for cluster properties.
- Use reservation, inventory, and demand-forecasting systems to implement and control strategies.
- Coordinate revenue strategies with group sales offices, reservation centers, hotels, and market sales leaders.
- Validate property diagnostic results, conduct revenue tests, and recommend process improvements.
- Communicate market analysis, brand initiatives, and strategy changes to properties, franchise partners, owners, and leadership teams.
- Maintain accurate reservation-system information and coordinate with regional or corporate systems support.
Requirements
- A two-year degree in business administration, finance and accounting, economics, hotel and restaurant management, or a related field, plus at least three years of relevant experience; or a four-year bachelor's degree in a related field plus at least one year of relevant experience.
- Experience in revenue management, sales and marketing, hospitality, or a related professional area.
- Ability to analyze sales, forecasting, reservation, and market data and convert findings into pricing and selling strategies.
- Ability to manage rooms inventory, rate restrictions, booking windows, and distribution-channel information.
- Ability to communicate strategy and recommendations to hotel leadership, sales teams, owners, corporate stakeholders, and reservation centers.
