Lead quality activities throughout the lifecycle of a major multidisciplinary aerospace and defense project, from development through customer service. Coordinate quality matters with program management, engineering, manufacturing, customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Responsibilities
- Lead quality activities across all project lifecycle stages, from development through customer service
- Coordinate multidisciplinary quality activities with program management, engineering, manufacturing, and customers
- Write and implement quality plans in accordance with AS9100 and ISO 9000 standards
- Manage review and deviation committees
- Perform root-cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions
- Coordinate quality engineering activities covering reliability, safety, and electromagnetic compatibility
- Approve supplier and subcontractor reviews and project milestones
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in aeronautical, mechanical, electrical and electronics, or materials engineering
- At least 3 years of experience in engineering or quality engineering roles
- Strong understanding of quality processes
- High proficiency in English, including professional reading, writing, and communication
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders and drive processes
Nice to have
- Experience in defense, military, or aerospace industries
- Experience transferring products from development to production (NPI)
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification
