A global technology company is seeking a Senior Data Center Engineer to support large-scale data center facilities, production server infrastructure, and technical delivery projects in Israel.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical liaison for engineering and infrastructure teams.
- Manage large- and small-scale data center and laboratory projects.
- Install, monitor, maintain, support, and optimize production server hardware.
- Lead deployment of data center infrastructure, server upgrades, integrations, rebuilds, and relocations.
- Develop and maintain global data center knowledge resources.
- Plan improvements to power, cooling, and network resource utilization.
- Forecast data center growth, identify scaling risks, and implement solutions.
- Support facility acquisition and optimization of existing sites.
- Investigate operational issues, analyze trends, identify systemic problems, and implement process improvements.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience with large-scale data center hardware deployments, data center construction, and data center relocation projects.
- Technical certification or relevant professional experience.
- Experience with technical project management and effective prioritization.
- Knowledge of data center power, cooling, structured copper and fiber cabling, network infrastructure, and root cause analysis.
- Experience developing and reviewing method of procedure and standard operating procedure documents.
- Ability to understand internal customer problems and provide timely technical solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills when working with diverse teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
Nice to have
- Programming experience with Python, SQL, or Bash.
- Experience with Nautobot, NetBox, monitoring, ServiceNow, or inventory management tools.
- Knowledge of liquid cooling infrastructure.
- Evidence of continuous learning and process improvement.
