Lead end-to-end technical project delivery for complex satellite communication and control systems serving government customers. Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams from requirements and architecture through integration, verification, validation, and delivery.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end delivery across requirements, architecture, design, implementation, integration, verification, validation, and acceptance
- Coordinate Software, Firmware, RF, Hardware, and Mechanical engineering teams, including interfaces, dependencies, and integration planning
- Build and maintain work breakdown structures, Gantt plans, milestones, budgets, resource plans, and delivery forecasts
- Track progress, planned versus actual performance, earned value, burn-downs, and KPIs; drive corrective actions
- Manage technical, schedule, supply chain, and production-readiness risks and lead mitigation and escalation
- Coordinate requirements, design, integration-readiness, test-readiness, and acceptance reviews
- Manage stakeholders across R&D, Operations, Customer Support, Finance, vendors, subcontractors, and customer technical teams
- Support configuration and change management, including ECO/ECN processes, documentation, and technical deliverables
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or industrial engineering
- 7–15 years of experience as a technical project manager, program manager, or project planner in R&D or product development
- Strong understanding of multidisciplinary development lifecycles and stage-gate processes across software, firmware, hardware, RF, mechanics, integration, and testing
- Proven experience with Gantt-based scheduling, budget tracking, risk management, earned value, and performance metrics
- Experience managing engineering interfaces, dependencies, test planning, and integration planning
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Nice to have
- PMP certification
- Experience with MS Project, Smartsheet, or Jira
- Experience with SAP PS
- Experience in government, defense, or regulated project environments
