Lead end-to-end R&D projects for next-generation connected devices, coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams and supporting transitions into engineering and operations.
Responsibilities
- Define project timelines and manage project risks.
- Lead R&D activities across hardware, embedded software, automated test equipment, software, and integration disciplines.
- Contribute to system design and architecture.
- Coordinate teams around key tasks and project objectives.
- Support new product introduction transitions to engineering and operations.
- Collaborate with product and marketing teams.
- Manage technical problem-solving and showstopper resolution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of project management experience for multidisciplinary systems involving embedded software, hardware, and wireless communications.
- Experience with embedded, hardware, RF, and product development systems.
- Experience solving detailed technical problems and resolving project showstoppers.
- Ability to understand complex IoT systems and learn new technical concepts quickly.
- Experience leading complex multidisciplinary projects across multiple sites.
- Strong prioritization, organization, problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Practical, hands-on approach and ability to work within structured processes.
Nice to have
- Experience with serverless product development.
- Coding experience in C, C#, Java, or Python.
- Knowledge of RF technologies such as BLE, Wi-Fi, LTE-M, or LoRa.
- Experience developing products supported by smartphone applications.
- Experience working in a matrix organization involving hardware, software, subcontractors, and operations.
