Lead complex mechanical ground systems projects for a missile and space division. Manage engineering development, requirements, suppliers, and manufacturing processes to deliver strategic defense systems. Strong background in mechanical engineering with 10+ years experience and proven project leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead development projects for mechanical ground systems in strategic missile and space programs.
- Define and communicate engineering requirements to internal teams and external suppliers based on customer specifications.
- Create requirement specifications, engineering concepts, and design principles for ground systems.
- Plan and cost-estimate mechanical ground systems development activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience.
- Proven experience in developing mechanical ground/air systems for military applications.
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary mechanical systems development projects.
- Proven ability in matrix management of engineering, subcontractors, suppliers, procurement, and logistics.
- Proven experience writing engineering documents, leading and presenting design reviews and technical discussions.
- Knowledge of manufacturing technologies and production development.
- Knowledge of mechanical control systems and international standards.
- Experience leading ground tests.
- Proven experience with CAD and technical drawing production.
- Proven experience in advanced design for systems operating in challenging environmental conditions.
- English writing and speaking.
